When used properly as part of the learning process, flashcards can be a very effective way to help students develop subject area vocabulary and background knowledge which can then be used in competency development and transfer of learning across the curriculum. Flashcards are also great for parents and siblings to use in support of their child’s remote learning. In this session, participants will learn to use three different tools in vocabulary development—Quizlet.com, Pear Deck Flashcard Factory and Quizizz.com. Options for print versions of these flash cards will also be shared for students who have limited access to technology at home.
